How do I register my child for a club program?
A ‘sign up’ button can be found on the ‘club program’ page. Complete the form and submit. Full payment must be received in order to secure a place in the program.
If you are unable to locate the program you are looking for it may be full, please email info@underdogbasketballnz.com to check.
Do you cater for different basketball skills levels?
Yes, each session is tailored to accommodate the varying basketball skill levels from beginners to those more experienced. Our club coaches are either current or past representative coaches or players so are regularly reviewing each session.
When & where do you run your club group skills sessions?
We run our junior and senior skills sessions to coincide with the school term 1 - 4.
All skills sessions are run in the Pakuranga College gym on Mondays.
Can we come along for a trial session before registering?
Yes, you are welcome to attend one trial skills session prior to registering if you have not attended our club before. Please note a trial session does not guarantee you a place in our program, this will still be subject to availability. Please contact us to arrange for your skills session trial.
What do I need to bring to training?
Suitable sportswear and footwear for training in eg.
t-shirt or singlet, sports shorts, non marking indoor sports shoes, bottle of water, mouthguard and a basketball (optional). Please remove any jewellery or watches.
At what age can my child join your club?
Currently those that are attending school in Year 3 or older can attend our club sessions.
Do you have club teams that my child can join?
We run primary & intermediate aged club teams which play in a local weekly basketball league during the school term. There are also opportunities throughout the year for our club teams to play in other leagues and tournaments (this includes older age groups eg: college).
What do I do if the program is full?
Due to high demand you may find that our programs do fill up quickly. Please complete the expression of interst form below and we will contact you should a place become available.
How can I get involved with the club?
As a community club we rely on volunteers to help provide opportunities to our members. Volunteers work alongside our club staff in various roles and are an important part of our club.
