Our Story

Underdog Basketball was born out of a commitment to ensure there is the presence of a strong community focused basketball program and league in the Pakuranga/Howick and surrounding East Auckland areas.

We are passionate in not only developing our basketball players but also our community volunteers, referees, coaches and score-bench officials. 

Underdog Basketball believes in providing players with an opportunity to learn and develop their basketball fundamentals while instilling integrity, teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and respect in our members. We believe these values and virtues are important to their growth and becoming active members of our community.

Our vision is to build great relationships within our local community by creating a positive culture in which coaches, players, families and officials work together to achieve this mission.
